Short-Term Running Goals:

In 2016 I plan to continue to get in shape and maybe do some trail races later in the year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I am currently training to get back into running long distances.  I would really like to do some longer distance trail races in 2016.  I am currently trying to lose weight and my goal is to weigh between 170 and 175.

In 2015 I was diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder. This explains why I'm so awkward. :)

Nice job Dale. I like the new pic. You are looking fir as you hit the mat. What race is it?

From Mack on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 14:36:01 from

Sorry, that should be looking FIT.

From DaleG on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 14:41:31 from

Thanks Mack. That was at the St. George half in January and about 10 lbs lighter. Today I'm starting to eat healthier and I will get back down to 175 or less. Right now I'm around 195.

From RAD on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 16:45:11 from

Excellent work Dale! Glad to see things getting better each day.

From Burt on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 16:51:59 from

Were you gliding in the air?

From DaleG on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 20:28:31 from

Thanks Rachel. Feeling good.

Burt, I had my greatest American hero suit on under my running clothes. I was able to get off the ground a little, just enough for a cool picture.

From Burt on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 22:01:54 from

My response: I don't believe it.

Your response: Believe it or not I'm walking on air.

From DaleG on Wed, May 18, 2011 at 22:37:58 from

Believe it or not, Dale isn't at home...where could he beee? Believe it or not he's not here.

From Lily on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 00:58:34 from

I'm about 14 lbs heavier than I was last summer. I need to get on that.

Still smiling over the fact that you're running. Yay!

From Smooth on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 01:24:41 from

YAY!!! You are running and feeling good! AWESOME JOB, Dale! And yes, I love that pic. you were airborne! :)

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 01:37:55 from

Lily, I ate pretty healthy today. I'm determined to lose this weight. Also, today I bought a weight vest at Walmart. That should help me shed some lbs.

Smoothie, thanks. It sure feels good to get back into a routine of running every morning. However, its taking away my time to get things done around the house.

Yep, I like that picture. It's the only one in existence of me flying across the finish line with both feet off the ground. In fact, its the only picture of me with both feet off the ground, period. Lol

From Smooth on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 01:45:30 from

That was a fun race for you! You did awesome there! :) :) :)

Keep up the running routine, the things around the house will get done eventually. I find that if I exercise first thing in the morning, I have more energy to tackle other things. It's pretty hard though when YOU have to go to work too!

Can't wait to see you and Amy at Ogden! :)

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 01:49:47 from

The kids and I will be watching for everyone at the finish line. Amy is very nervous, especially when she read about the time limit. If runners have not entered the canyon by 11:30 then they have to take a bus to the finish line. I think she can make it there, with ten minutes to spare.

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 01:51:18 from

Oh yeah, she went and got a shot of cortisone in her knee today, so that should help a little

From Smooth on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 01:54:24 from

Tell Amy no worries...she will make it! I am so proud of her as I am sure you and the kids are too!!! will she be carrying a cell phone so she can keep you updated and you can encourage her along?

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 02:07:05 from

Yes, she will be carrying her cell phone. She thinks she will finish in 7 hours, which is about right. We are very proud of her. She has lost around 70 lbs since last July. very cool

From Smooth on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 02:09:48 from

That is AWESOME!!!! Tell her CONGRATZ from me!!! :). Very impressive accomplishment!!!

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 02:12:38 from

I will definitely let her know you said that. hey, maybe you could keep an eye out for her before the race. I think being with someone she knows will help ease the stress

From Smooth on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 02:16:35 from

Will do! I plan to run with RAD and Terry (Lowell's best friend). So we will look for her at the start and be pop buddies! :)

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 02:19:11 from

Awesome!!! I'm sure you'll all have a lot of fun

From Tom Slick on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 12:37:53 from

Yo Dale DoG, Give Ms. Amy a really harty congrats on getting herself to the OGDEN. What an outstanding effort!

I will be looking for hee at the bus loading area or the starting area to personally congradulate her. I have only one line of advice for her on race day.......Wear that smile of accomplishment big and proud and never, never, never, never, never, never, ever, never, never quit. and I'll be looking for you and the kids at the finish line!

Ya know it's only 134 days till the SGM? Plenty of time to get the weight off and the speed up!!!!!! Can't Wait!!!

From DaleG on Thu, May 19, 2011 at 12:56:38 from

Thanks Slick. I'll let her know. She's really nervous.

Yep, St. George here I come. I'm already stoked about it.
